Free blood pressure checks

Did you know high blood pressure is the number one modifiable risk factor for stroke?

One in five New Zealanders have high blood pressure and some don’t even know!

It usually has no signs or symptoms, so the only way to know whether you have high blood pressure is to get it checked. But don’t worry, it can be managed with lifestyle changes and medication.

So get yourself and your friends checked when The Stroke Foundation’s Blood Pressure Check team is at Highbrook Crossing.

The experienced team will provide free blood pressure (BP) and pulse checks. They’ll also provide lifestyle advice to help reduce stroke risk.

WHEN: 10am – 3pm Monday 5 August
WHERE: Next to Smile Supermarket, Highbrook Crossing

Each BP check takes about 10 minutes per person and the team can check two people at a time.

You can book in groups by emailing Samantha.Dickey@goodman.com or just rock up.

A friendly reminder that the team from The Stroke Foundation are a health promotion service and not clinicians and offer BP and pulse checks only
